Influences of the seventies adorn Layla’s landscape cowboy imagery. Light-hearted and playful, with a touch of glamour and attitude.

Inspired by Haute Couture as a form of art, a fascination with body decoration as an expression of identity and communication leads me to continually explore this vast landscape through portrait images.

Original Art: Carbon, charcoal and collage; its’ bespoke design was hand-cut from cotton ragg, heavy 300gsm textured paper. 24 karat gold leaf embellished the background.
