The Post War years found women actively recruited into jobs that had always been reserved for men; working in shipyards and factories. They tied their hair up to keep it clean, and hairstyles of the day supported victory curls in support of their men at war. When the war finished, they happily took on their new role nurturing the family and rearing children.
